Truckfest 2025: A Showcase of Excellence

 Our star of the show was the Volvo FH16 750 Limited Edition "Ailsa"—a truck that certainly made a statement. Created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Volvo trucks, the Ailsa is a model that’s as rare as it is special. With only 50 of these remarkable trucks ever being produced, we’re proud to own Number 50 of 50—the last of its kind to roll off the production line. As you can imagine, this makes it not just a vehicle, but a piece of Volvo history.

What made our experience at Truckfest even more memorable was a visit from the original owner of the Ailsa. Upon seeing the truck, they were genuinely amazed at the customisation and meticulous presentation that we had put into this magnificent machine. The level of appreciation shown by the original owner truly highlighted the importance of maintaining a vehicle’s legacy while enhancing its beauty and performance.

Our stand at Truckfest wasn’t just about showcasing an iconic truck; we also presented a Volvo FH5 500 GTXL, demonstrating the range of customisation and reconditioning services we offer. From stunning exterior features such as sleek side skirts and alloy wheels, to interior touches that elevate comfort and usability, the FH5 500 GTXL was a true representation of how we breathe new life into used trucks. Every truck we bring to market receives a thorough reconditioning process, ensuring that it’s not just functional, but a vehicle that’s ready to impress both on the road and in showrooms.

Over the course of the event, it was great to meet with traders and visitors alike. Day 1 was dedicated to traders, providing a more intimate setting for business discussions, while Day 2 and 3 opened up to the general public. It was thrilling to see how many people were drawn to the Ailsa, and even more exciting to spot some of the trucks we’ve sold in previous years still impressing their owners on the show floor. 

One of the highlights for us was catching up with the owner of a truck we had sold, who proudly displayed an incredible Iron Man airbrushing—a testament to the lasting impression our vehicles have on those who purchase them. 

Truckfest is always an excellent opportunity to connect with fellow truck lovers, exchange ideas, and showcase the incredible work that we put into every vehicle we sell. It was fantastic to share the story of the Ailsa, meet the faces behind our customer base, and highlight the high standards of reconditioning and customisation that have become synonymous with Centre Transport Sales.
